Hi fellow bloggers,
After looking at the cartoon I think they called it ‘Greenhouse Nightmare’ because nightmare stands for the nightmare living in a poor life and having a greenhouse for those who get everything.
The poorer family has a 1 storied straw house with. Whereas the richer family has 2 cars, a bike, a boat, technology, cooling and heating equipment, exercising equipment, cooking things, gardening equipment and cleaning equipment.
The cartoon says that everyone gets the same rights since where all human beings. That also everyone should be generous and share things with people who are facing poverty.
I think the main message being shown in the carton is that we should be more generous with the people around us because we might face poverty in the future.
There might be a big impact since there may be a certain agreement that they had that made then agree to the decision made.

Hi fellow bloggers,
Looking at the cartoon I can see that the two families live in a very different environment. The reason that I think the picture is called greenhouse nightmare is because I may have something to do with greenhouse gasses and the pollution that the family on the right is making or the family living in the greenhouse don’t have a lot of things.
I think the person on the right said that because he is surprised that the other person doesn’t have a fridge or a radio in their house.

Hello guys,
I think that this comic shows two different types of living styles. One family is very rich and in my opinion they have too much! It is also a scary though thinking that one house is using so much greenhouse gas and the worst part is it is easy to stop! I think it is called a greenhouse night mare because in one of the houses they have so much electronics and they have items that are bad for the environment. So since greenhouses are to do with conserving the environment I think this means it is an environmental nightmare. The cartoon represents rich people having all the necessities and much more. Whereas the ‘poor’ like people look like they have just enough maybe less. It also mentions the rich people saying to the poor people, “what you want a fridge as well as a radio”. This makes me believe that even though the rich people have more they are not willing to give things to people who are less fortunate it is almost like they don’t care! The other people look kind of sad or upset. It also shows a crack in the land which to me represents that we breaking the world into separate places, one place for the rich people and one for the less fortunate in theory, to me this means that we are not together anymore we are not one. The cartoon shows to me that you need to be more considerate or have empathy for others. Because we are all humans we have the same rights, so even if you are rich you need to at least have empathy or at least be considerate. It also shows that your decisions can affect the life of others.
HI Earthlings
I think what they mean by greenhouse nightmare is that the poor people, are not greedy, are not polluting the environment and not selfish but the rich people have boats, cars and motorcycles which pollute the environment they also have a pool, heating and cooling conducts, gardening tools cds, disks and a loud speaker and TV, a study room, gym equipment, a bed. In short they have everything a man could want. While all the poor people just want a fridge to preserve food in and a radio to listen to music but the other person doesn’t even USE his junk while the other people are in more of a need of it!! He’s acting like a miser hoarding his money in this case its JUNK!! And he’s screaming at them saying WHAT YOU WANT A FRIDGE AS WELL A RADIO!!!! So that just means that he is a hoarder of junk. I think that the cartoon is trying to tell us about we should all treat each other equally. I think that the main idea of the cartoon is we should all treat each other equally and give others things that they don’t have.
Hope you enjoyed 😛

1. Why do you think the cartoon is called a Greenhouse Nightmare?
I think the cartoon is called a Greenhouse Nightmare because the richer people using technology is not caring for the eco system which terrifies people how much technology we are using which could be reduced.
2. The cartoon uses stereotypes. How does the cartoonist represent people living in wealthy, developed countries and those living in poor, developing countries? List the possessions shown in both households.
The cartoonist represents these situations by drawing different types of housing and different technology of a richer person and a poor person.
3. In your own words what does the cartoon say about global citizenship?
The cartoon shows global citizenship by showing different likes and dislikes, different backgrounds and appearance.
4. What do you think the main message of the cartoon is and why?
I think the main message of the cartoon is to tell us that we are all different and the richer people are using a lot of technology that can impact on the environment. Although the poorer people don’t use much technology they are not doing a bad impact for others and the environment.
5. How can the decisions of one household or nation, impact the lives of people in another nation?
The decision of one household or nation can impact the lives of another nation because each house is different and has different principles which can confuse others.
1.Why do you think the cartoon is called a Greenhouse Nightmare?
I think it is called the greenhouse nightmare because the technology that the rich people use impacts the environment by them not caring for the environment and producing tons of greenhouse gases.
2. The cartoon uses stereotypes. How does the cartoonist represent people living in wealthy, developed countries and those living in poor, developing countries? List the possessions shown in both households.
The cartoonist represents this by the different types of housing and different types of technology used by both sides. He also represents it by showing it on different sides of the page.
3. In your own words what does the cartoon say about global citizenship?
The cartoon shows global citizenship by showing different likes and dislikes, different personalities, NOT the same appearance.
4. What do you think the main message of the cartoon is and why?
The main message of the text is that we all are different in our own ways and all live in different ways and the richer people in the world have a great impact on many of the poorer people in the world.
5. How can the decisions of one household or nation impact the lives of people in another nation?
It can impact another nation by their being differences in the other nation because things are probably not run the same and that there would be lots of fussing about there being different principles that could mystify others.
Hello fellow bloggers,
1. Why do you think the cartoon is called a Greenhouse Nightmare?
I think that the cartoon is called a Greenhouse nightmare because maybe the family who live in the smaller house always want things from the richer family and their surname is Green. So that makes them the Greenhouse nightmare.
2. The cartoon uses stereotypes. How does the cartoonist represent people living in wealthy, developed countries and those living in poor, developing countries? List the possessions shown in both households.
The author represents the rich people in this comic by making them look posh and making them look like they don’t appreciate what they’ve got by putting a speech bubble saying “What?! You want a fridge as well as a radio?
The author represents the poor people by giving them a smaller house and by making them look like they want things from other people.
Some possessions that they have in their house are…
Posh- Two cars, a big garage, a lawn mower, a T.V, a fan, a big bathroom with a bath and ,mirror, a kitchen with a fridge and oven, lights, beds, closets and lots of other things.
Poor- two very small houses made from straw or mud brick and two bikes.
3. In your own words what does the cartoon say about global citizenship?
The cartoon says that we’re not acting like global citizens because we’re not working together.
4. What do you think the main message of the cartoon is and why?
In this cartoon it says to me that we are not working together as one or supporting the poor people when they don’t have much at all. It is also telling us to work together.
5. How can the decisions of one household or nation impact the lives of people in another nation?
Well, one example is…
A rich family have lots of money and are just spending it on junk. Then they think, maybe it can go to better use if we donate it. They donate it and now a poor person/people have something to live on.

1)
I think the reason why ‘Greenhouse Nightmare’ got its title is because when you look at the image you see a small house (Greenhouse) and then a big gigantic mansion. A man from the mansion is saying YOU WANT A FRIDGE AS WELL AS A RADIO which is a bit hypercritical because in comparison he has so much TECHNOLOGY! I bet you this guy’s family doesn’t even use half of the junk in there. So just to clarify I think it’s because that house has lot of physical waste which basically means that house is a nightmare towards a greenhouse.
2)
They show the wealthy people by showing the inside of their house with cars, a boat, a motorbike, a swimming pool, gardening equipment, T.V’s in every room and much more essentials. They show poor people by displaying much more eco-friendly transportation like a bike, a small brick house and nothing of any value.
3)
The cartoon shows us that if share and show the values of diversity we could gradually become a global citizen and that piece of land in the middle could join.
4)
I think the main message of this story is to appreciate what you have and to understand others.
5)
I think the actions of another nation could cause global issue for example with MH370, because of Malaysia actions families in china are broken hearted.
